Meenakshi’s poetry is unashamedly subjective and autobiographical and may belong to the sub-genre called ‘confessional poetry.’ She ponders over her loneliness, anxiety, emotional crisis, nameless anguish, deep nostalgia for childhood days and lost paradises. Her poetry is in fact the imaginative representation of the ‘backpack’ of personal ‘impressions.’
